Terms of Use

These terms cover the people who use Knock Run: the representatives, managers and office staff whose organization gave them an account, and, in Seats and billing, the organization that pays for those accounts. Where a separate signed agreement between Knock Run and an organization disagrees with these terms, that agreement wins.

Last updated October 3, 2026. Knock Run is operated by FOG LLC.

Accepting these terms

By signing in to Knock Run (on the web at knockrun.com or in the iPhone and iPad app) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not sign in. FOG LLC operates the service.

What Knock Run is

A field sales tool: a map of the doors your team is working, the record of what happened at each one, the customer agreement a homeowner signs, the paperwork that puts a new representative on the roster, and the counts an office pays from. It is sold to companies, not to individuals, and it contains no purchases of any kind: nothing inside the app costs you money. Your organization pays for its accounts as Seats and billing describes.

Your account

  • Your organization issues, suspends and removes your account. We do not create accounts for individuals.
  • The account is yours alone. One person per account: do not share your sign-in or let anyone else work under it. Each person needs their own user. Tell your office at once if you think someone else has your password.
  • An account can be signed in on one phone, one tablet and one computer at a time. On each kind of device, the Knock Run app and a web browser count separately, and Knock Run added to the Home Screen of an iPhone or iPad counts as its own browser. Signing in on another device of the same kind, in the same app or browser, signs the older one out.
  • Sign-ins that look like a shared account, such as the same kind of device being replaced again and again, are reported to your organization’s admins, who may suspend the account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and authorized by your organization to use the service.
  • You are responsible for what is done under your sign-in.

How you may use it

Use it for your organization’s work, lawfully. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Enter information you have no right to enter, or record a person who has asked not to be recorded.
  • Ignore a do-not-knock or do-not-call instruction, a posted notice, or any canvassing rule that applies where you are working.
  • Export, copy or take customer records for yourself or for another employer. Those records belong to your organization.
  • Attempt to reach another organization’s data, probe the service’s security, or work around the permissions your office has set.
  • Upload malware, scrape the service, or run it through an automated tool that is not ours.
  • Resell, sublicense or white-label the service without a written agreement with FOG LLC.

Seats and billing

This section binds the organization that subscribes to Knock Run and the admins who manage its account. Payments are processed by Stripe; FOG LLC never sees or stores a full card number.

  • The price is $45 per user per month, billed monthly in advance to the card on file, plus any sales tax that applies.
  • A user is every account in the organization that is active, paused or still onboarding, and every invitation that has not been accepted, revoked or deleted. Suspended and removed accounts are not billed, and neither are FOG LLC’s own staff accounts.
  • An admin must add a payment card before inviting or adding anyone. If a payment fails, no one new can be added until it succeeds.
  • The subscription is month to month. It renews automatically each month, and the card is charged automatically for the users on the renewal date, until users are removed or the subscription is cancelled.
  • A user added part way through a month is charged a prorated amount for the rest of that month, on the next invoice.
  • Removing a user stops their charge from the next monthly renewal. There are no refunds or credits for part of a month: a user removed during a month stays paid through the end of it, and adding someone back into that paid seat in the same month is not charged again.
  • Organizations that used Knock Run before billing started get a free period, announced in the app. A card added during it is first charged when the free period ends, except a card added in its last two days, which is charged when it is added.
  • An admin can update the card, see invoices and receipts, or cancel in Manage billing. A cancelled subscription ends at the end of the month already paid for and is not renewed.
  • If the price changes, admins are told in advance and the new price applies from a later renewal, never to a month already billed.
  • An organization whose account stays unpaid may be suspended after notice, as Suspension and ending access describes.

Who owns what

The records you and your colleagues create (leads, customers, agreements, photos, time sheets) belong to your organization. FOG LLC owns the software, the Knock Run name and mark, and everything we built to run it. We handle personal information as the Privacy Policy describes.

Availability and changes

We improve the product continuously and may add, change or retire features. We aim to keep the service up and to warn organizations before a disruptive change, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and scheduled maintenance happens. The app keeps working offline for the field work it can, and syncs when the signal returns, but do not treat any device as the only copy of something you cannot lose.

Agreements signed in the app

When a homeowner signs a customer agreement in Knock Run, that contract is between the homeowner and your organization. FOG LLC is not a party to it, does not deliver the service it covers, and takes no position on its terms. We keep the signed record for your organization.

Suspension and ending access

Your organization can end your access at any time. We can suspend an account or an organization that is breaking these terms, threatening the service’s security, or whose account is unpaid: normally after notice, immediately where the risk is serious. When access ends, the sections that are meant to survive (ownership, disclaimers, limits, governing law) survive.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Map data, address checks and property records come from outside providers; they are often wrong at the margins, and you must use your own judgment at the door. Nothing in Knock Run is legal, tax or financial advice.

Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, FOG LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost commissions, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability to you personally for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located there.

If you installed the app from Apple

These terms are between you and FOG LLC, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to support or maintain the app. If the app fails to conform to a warranty and the law gives you a refund right, Apple may refund the purchase price (the app is free, so that amount is zero) and Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any claim about the app, including product liability, a failure to meet a legal requirement, or a claim under consumer protection or privacy law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US embargo, and that you are not on a US prohibited-parties list.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top moves when we do, and material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. Questions go to support@fog.tools.
