Write to us
support@fog.tools, for anything at all: a bug, a question, a feature you need, a privacy request. We answer within one business day, and privacy requests within five.
Tell us four things and the fix comes faster:
- Which screen you were on: the map, a lead, Settings.
- What you did, and what you expected instead.
- Your organization’s name and the email address you sign in with.
- A screenshot, if the screen showed something wrong.
Trouble signing in
- Wrong organization. If the app says your account does not belong to the organization you picked, tap “Change organization” on the sign-in screen and choose the right one.
- Forgotten password. Ask your office to send you a reset; administrators can issue one from your user record.
- “Not set up yet” or “waiting for the office”. Your account exists but has not been activated. Your office finishes that after your onboarding paperwork is in.
- Access removed. An organization can end a seat. Contact your office first; write to us if you think it is a mistake.
The iPhone and iPad app
- The map needs location permission to show where you are standing. If you denied it, turn it back on in iOS Settings › Knock Run › Location, “While Using the App”. Once the app is open, location keeps running while Knock Run is in the background, so your Lock Screen card follows you door to door; closing the app stops it.
- The app works without a signal: what you record is saved on the device and syncs when you are back in coverage.
- If a screen is stuck, force-quit and reopen it: nothing you saved is lost. If it happens twice, write to us with the screen name.
Deleting your account
In the iPhone and iPad app: Settings › Privacy and data › Request account deletion, then send the request. It goes straight to your organization’s administrators, who carry it out, and the screen confirms it was sent. You can also email support@fog.tools from the address you sign in with, with the subject Delete my account. We verify the request with your organization, remove your sign-in and your personal profile within 30 days, and write back when it is done. Your administrator can also do it from your user record.
The work records your organization owns (the doors you knocked, the agreements that were signed, the time sheets your pay was figured from) stay with your organization; they are its business records, and its administrators decide what happens to them. The Privacy Policy says what is kept and for how long.
If a representative knocked on your door
The record of that visit belongs to the company the representative works for: contact them to see, correct or remove it, or to ask not to be visited again. If you do not know which company it was, write to us with the address and roughly when it happened, and we will pass your request on and confirm that we have.
